Contract, questionnaire and session fee all must be complete prior to the session.

Why is there a retainer?

Your session fee (retainer) reserves your session date and time. Without the retainer, I cannot hold that spot for you. $100 is due at the time of booking; and the balance is paid at the end of the session.

What if I am sick?

It happens! I am more than happy to reschedule your appointment with 24 hours advance notice. Your deposit will be transferred to your next appointment provided you reschedule within 24 hours of your original appointment. A new session fee is due if session is cancelled less than 24 hours in advance.

What if the weather is bad (for an outdoor session)?

It happens! If your session is scheduled to be outdoors, it can be rescheduled once for free due to extreme inclement weather. Cloudy skies do not qualify for inclement weather!

What if I am late/don't show up?

Please try to be early and/or on time. If you are stuck in traffic, etc- I would appreciate a phone call or text letting me know that you are on your way. If you are more than 15 minutes late, you will forfeit your non-refundable retainer and would have to reschedule. A new session fee/retainer would be due at that time.

What kind of pets do you photograph?

I'm open to photographing all types of pets. I am most familiar with dogs and cats. And yes, I do photograph people as well. Please check out this page for more details.

Where are you based?

I am based in the St. Louis, MO area.

I’ve never done this before… where do I start?

Email me at and I will help guide you through the process.

My pet doesn’t know any tricks/commands – is that a problem?

No, but it will make it easier if the pet has a good sit/stay command.

My pet is nervous/timid – is that a problem?

Not at all - but knowing this ahead of time will greatly help the success of the session. For these pets, I would highly recommend an in-home session.

How do I choose a location?

Choosing a location will depend on your pet. I always think that a pet is the most comfortable in familiar surroundings. If you want something indoors, photographing in the home is the best idea. If you want something outdoors, a fenced in yard or a park you visit often (provided it allows photography) would be the most ideal.

Do I need to bring anything extra with me?

A favorite toy or treats are always welcome. A long, thin lead if you have it as well.

Can I be in the photos too?

Sure thing - make sure to mention this beforehand so I can help you plan accordingly.

How long will it take?

Most sessions last one hour. I am happy to customize a session for you at a longer length. Depending on the situation, it may incur an additional fee.

What sort of products do you offer?

I specialize in providing wall art and photo books for you to treasure.

What if I just want digital files?

Digital files are great for social media and sharing, but they are not my aim. My aim is provide you beautiful artwork for you to treasure for years to come. By printing my artwork at professional grade labs, I can ensure that I am providing you a high quality, long lasting product that can't get lost on a hard drive or on a possibly soon-to-be-obselete form of technology. Quality archival prints will not fade.

How do I choose what to print?

I will guide you through what I believe to be the best medium for the type of shot and what will work best in your home.

What if I change my mind?

Please have all decision-makers attend the viewing session. Due to the custom nature of the products I provide, all sales are final.
